Ed Vaizey took questions from Mind the Green Gap on BBC Radio Oxford this morning.

In an answer to our questions he said “The ideal solution for me is to have a local plan that says where houses should go and then to get on and build the houses where we said they should be built”.

We could not agree more Ed.

SODC can meet their housing needs by following the plan. Developers of land allocated in the plan are dragging their feet and not building. They are looking after their own interests. The solution is for SODC to look after the interests of the people of Oxfordshire and make the developers get on with it.

The Green Gap is not in the plan for good reason. And good reason is what we heard from Ed this morning.
