What’s the rush?

Times_clipThe fields between Didcot and East Hagbourne have grown food for thousands of years. They could be under concrete in a just a few short months.

Are you were wondering why Grainger are in such a hurry? Have a look at this interesting bit of news that surfaced this weekend.

It seems not everything is not rosy at Grainger HQ. After ‘years of sleepy performance’ they are under threat of take-over. Grainger’s build-to-rent model needs a constant supply of new stock. In difficult times, with private equity firms circling them, it is not surprising they are in a rush to exploit every opportunity that they can to circumvent proper planning.

Troubling times for Grainger. New owners might be in place soon. It is too late to save the Finance Director’s job.

But it is not too late for us to save the green gap.
